TCK oil seal: fabric dust lip, rubber-covered outside diameter
A TCK seal replaces the rubber dust lip of a TC with a fabric one, for coarse dirt and sand that would pack a rubber dust lip and make it drag. Conquest Seal supplies radial shaft seals, also sold as rotary shaft seals, rotary lip seals and oil seals, in inch and metric sizes. Send the part number or drawing and we quote it.

Radial lip seals
A flexible lip pressed against a rotating shaft by a garter spring, held in the housing by a case. This is what most people mean by an oil seal, and it retains lubricant at low pressure rather than holding pressure.
When to use it
Coarse dirt and sand, where a rubber dust lip packs and drags. The contamination is coarse rather than fine. NOK makes this dust lip from a fabric it developed itself and says it keeps dirt out better than the TC and TB, drags less on the shaft and lets air through.
When another type fits better
- TC: Sealing lip and dust lip, rubber-covered outside diameter, when the dust is fine and a rubber dust lip will not pack.
