What to send for a quote

Start with what identifies the part: a part number, an AS568 dash number or a drawing. Add the material or the specification callout on your print, and the quantity. Name the certificates and reports the order needs, such as a batch test report or an AS9102 first article report, so the quote can include them; a certificate of conformance ships with every order either way. The request-a-quote form has a field for each and takes the drawing as a file.

What happens next

A person reads the request and replies within one business day, and any question about the part comes back by email or phone, never through an auto-responder. The quote names the manufacturer and the certificate of conformance the order will ship with. The about page follows an order from the quote to the certificate.

Supplier questionnaires and documents

Send a supplier questionnaire, a survey or a document list by email with the part numbers you plan to buy. The compliance documents page lists what a purchasing team usually asks for, and the certificate page has certificate CONQ-001 to download.
