Shaft repair sleeves
A shaft repair sleeve is a thin-wall sleeve pressed over the groove an old lip wore into the shaft, giving the new lip a fresh counterface without machining. Send the part number or drawing and we quote it.

When to use it
Restoring a grooved or damaged shaft without machining it. A groove has been worn where the old lip ran. The sleeve is pressed over the shaft to give a new counterface at the right finish, which is cheaper than replacing or re-machining the shaft.
When another type fits better
- Unitized seal with an integral wear sleeve, when the seal and its counterface are better fitted as one part.
