Military and Defense
Sealing parts for defense programs, to the document on your print
Defense work is document work, and the document on the drawing is often the same one a commercial aircraft uses. Conquest Seal supplies the part built to it, made by manufacturers on the relevant qualified products list, where the document has one, with a certificate of conformance naming the part number, the specification, the manufacturer, the lot and the quantity. Where a drawing still calls out a cancelled document, we quote the current one, name both on the certificate, and confirm with you before ordering. Send the part number exactly as the print shows it and a Conquest representative replies with the quote.

- Standards
- MIL-PRF-25732 (MS28775), AMS-P-83461, AMS7276 (AS3209), AMS7259 (AS3581), AMS-R-25988 (M25988), NAS1613, AMS7267
- Typical seals
- AS568 O-rings, MS28778 boss seals, fluorosilicone fuel-system O-rings, waterjet-cut sheet gaskets, molded and bonded parts to print
- Materials
- Nitrile, FKM, fluorosilicone, EPDM, silicone; the compound sheet sets the temperature limit
- Quality
- Certificate of conformance naming the part number, the specification, the manufacturer, the lot and the quantity; test reports where the program calls for them.
A defense drawing names a material document and a size, and the size is the same dash number the commercial world uses. What changes is the paperwork that has to come with it, and who is allowed to have built the part.
What we supply against your print
Hydraulic and fuel-system O-rings, boss seals, and the fluorosilicone and fluorocarbon parts that fuel contact calls for. Flat gaskets are cut to your drawing on our own waterjet from a DXF, with no tooling. Molded and bonded parts are made to your print by the molders we source from.
When the print names a cancelled document
It is routine, and it is not a problem. We quote the document that replaced it, name both on the certificate and confirm with you before ordering, so the paperwork still matches the drawing you are buying to. The mil-spec chart lists the documents we see most often.
What ships with the part
A certificate of conformance naming the part number, the specification, the manufacturer, the lot and the quantity, and the manufacturer test report where the program calls for one. Conquest Seal is not itself on a qualified products list, and no distributor is: the listing belongs to the manufacturer, and the certificate names it.

The document on the print and the document it became
A drawing that reads M83248/1 refers to a cancelled document; the part is supplied to its SAE successors, AS83248/1 with AMS7276, with both named on the certificate. Statuses were read from DLA ASSIST and SAE Mobilus on 2026-09-06.

What we supply
Product lines for military and defense
O-rings
The part most people mean by a seal. We stock every AS568 size.
Gaskets
Seals the joint between two flat faces, cut to your drawing on our own waterjet in Orange, California, with no tooling.
Custom molded rubber
Parts no catalog carries, made to your drawing by the molders we source from, by compression, transfer or injection molding.
Rubber-to-metal bonded
Rubber on a metal insert, so one part seals, mounts or damps instead of three. Made to your print by the molders we source from.
Materials
What comes up on military and defense prints
- VitonĀ® (FKM) O-Rings
- Fuel, oil and heat, and the most common callout after nitrile.
- Fluorosilicone O-Rings
- Fuel systems, where plain silicone would swell.
- EPDM O-Rings
- Phosphate-ester hydraulic fluid. Never petroleum oil.
- Silicone O-Rings
- Static seals and wide temperature swings away from fuel.
The compound named on your print governs. Send it with the part number and we quote that compound.

What to send us
The part number as the print shows it, and the quantity. Tell us if the order needs a first article report. Please don't send a drawing marked ITAR, EAR, CUI or export-controlled. For those parts, call (714) 632-9830.
