Seals for sanitation and construction equipment
Equipment that works in grit and water eats seals, and the replacement is usually a standard size. Conquest Seal stocks every AS568 size and supplies the hydraulic seals and shaft seals that vacuum trucks, compactors, loaders and pumps use, in inch and metric. Where the original has worn the shaft or the rod as well, we quote the seal and the sleeve together rather than one at a time. Send the part number, or the measurements and a photograph, and a Conquest representative replies with the quote.

Grit is the enemy here, not pressure or heat. A seal that failed early on this kind of equipment has usually been cut by something that got past the wiper.
When the shaft is worn too
A groove worn where the old lip ran will leak straight past a new seal. A thin wear sleeve pressed over the groove gives the lip a fresh surface without machining the shaft, and it is cheaper than the alternative. Send the depth of the groove with the diameter.
Choosing the compound
Abrasion and pressure point at polyurethane, heat and fuel at fluorocarbon, wash-down water at EPDM, and ordinary hydraulic service at nitrile. The compatibility guide covers the rest.

O-rings
The part most people mean by a seal. We stock every AS568 size.
Hydraulic seals
Rod seals, piston seals, wipers and wear rings that keep a cylinder tight. Inch and metric profiles, quoted to your size.
Radial shaft seals
Keeps lubricant in and dirt out of rotating equipment. Single lip, double lip and unitized, sized to the shaft, bore and width.
Gaskets
Seals the joint between two flat faces, cut to your drawing on our own waterjet in Orange, California, with no tooling.
Materials
What comes up on sanitation and construction prints
- Buna-N O-Rings
- Hydraulic oil and general service, and the usual default.
- Polyurethane O-Rings
- Abrasion, grit and high pressure. The workhorse here.
- Viton® (FKM) O-Rings
- Heat and fuel, where nitrile hardens too quickly.
- EPDM O-Rings
- Water and wash-down chemistry. Never oil.
The compound named on your print governs. Send it with the part number and we quote that compound.

The part number if there is one, otherwise the measurements and a photograph with the machine make and model. For a cylinder, the rod and bore diameters. Tell us if the shaft or rod is scored, because that changes what we quote.
